Ok guys, so I’m no expert on kid excursions, But… I have been going to apple hill since before I can remember …and my days of casually walking through the apple trees and sipping cider at the winery’s are no longer! Now you can find me picking pumpkins, running through corn mazes and putting Sawyer on the neigh-neigh’s! Both experiences are wonderful, but VERY different!
So, to make all you mommies lives out there easier I have mapped out my THREE favorite Apple hill spots to hang with the fam! I hope you like it!
One- The #1 attraction, High Hill Ranch and the Fudge Factory- 🎣🍫🍂🍃🍁
To me these are a MUST to visit with the kiddos but they tend to be the most popular and crowded. So if possible, I suggest going during the week if you can! They have everything you need to go trout fishing available in their big pond! They also have adorable pony and hay rides for the kids to enjoy, face painting, and tons of delicious things to eat! Including the nearby fudge factory that also has an area for the kids to play! This spot is definitely stroller friendly too which is nice if you have lots of babies to watch, and there is lots of shopping tents, so you will be walking all around.
Two- Delfino Farms 🎃🌽
I love this place because it has the best hills. If you saw my insta story from last week when we took Sawyer for his birthday you would have witnessed him rolling down the hill at Delfino farm! It has two corn mazes, and a “You-pick Pumpkin” area that Saw loved this year! It also has a small 1/4 mile Nature Trail, Family Farm Animals, and plenty of picnic benches for enjoying their caramel apples and pies for sale! This one is not as popular as High Hill Ranch, but is such a gem! This spot is a little more difficult to navigate the stoller in due to the big hill, but definitely possible!
Three- Abels Apple Acres: 🐴🍎
This place is a great option if you are coming to apple hill on a weekend and want to beat the crowds at High Hill Ranch but get a similar experience. Like High Hill, they have fun pony rides and a hay mazes galore! They also have an adorable Johnny Appleseed measuring tree that is a great photo-op for the kids! They also have lots of different tents with fun items for sale if you want to do some shopping! Stroller friendly!
Here is a link to Apple Hills website with a list of all their recommended kids locations and activities/events! There is also places listed on here where you can go and pick your own apples, which Saw loved to do too! Enjoy!
